Building tomorrow with fibres innovation
By integrating fibre technology, we help build cities that stand strong, last longer, and meet the challenges of tomorrow.
Adfil®Microfibres
Adfil® microfibres are designed to protect concrete during its most vulnerable stage: curing. They help reduce early shrinkage cracks, improve surface quality, and limit fire spalling in thin elements like screeds, renders, and precast parts.
Where they’re used:
- To control plastic shrinkage
- To improve abrasion resistance
- To protect against fire spalling in thin concrete
Adfil®Macrofibres
Adfil® macrofibres are engineered to replace steel mesh in structural concrete. They reinforce slabs, precast parts, and sprayed linings while simplifying logistics and reducing on-site labour.
Where they’re used:
- To reinforce floors, precast parts, and tunnel linings
- To improve tensile and flexural performance
- To eliminate corrosion and reduce carbon emissions
One fibre mix doesn’t fit all.
That’s why we design by application.
Every project is different. A tunnel lining doesn’t need the same reinforcement as a warehouse floor or a precast pipe.
That’s why Adfil® fibres are tailored to specific applications. Each fibre is selected for what it brings to the mix: strength, flexibility, fire resistance, or finish.
Proven sustainability gains
Low-carbon by design, with no disruption on site
Adfil® Fibres help construction teams reduce carbon emissions while keeping workflows simple. By replacing steel mesh, fibres make pouring faster, reduce transport needs, and support low-carbon targets without changing how you build.
Why it matters
Steel reinforcement is carbon-intensive to produce and time-consuming to manage on site. Adfil® Fibres are lighter, easier to dose, and require no cutting or tying. They help reduce emissions by up to 90 percent while improving safety and installation speed.
- Up to 90% lower CO₂ emissions compared to steel mesh
- Up to 28.8% cost savings per panel (labour, logistics, steel)
- Full EPD coverage across the fibre range
- No on-site steel handling, improving safety and reducing risk

Q&A
Fibres reinforcement: your questions answered
Yes. In many applications, Adfil® Fibres match or exceed the performance of traditional steel mesh. They improve crack control, reduce corrosion risks, and are tested to EN and ASTM standards. Structural calculations and dosage tools are available to meet project-specific load requirements.
Not once you look at the full picture. Adfil® Fibres reduce labour, installation time, and logistics costs. On certain sites, total cost savings reach up to 28.8 percent per panel. You save on handling, cutting, tying, and transport.
Yes. Adfil® Fibres are already used in tunnels, precast pipes, and infrastructure exposed to corrosion and high stress. They improve durability and reduce maintenance over time.
No. Fibres are integrated at the batching plant and follow your existing process. There’s no need for on-site adjustments or extra handling.
The full range is covered by Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs). Fibres are CE-marked and meet EN and ASTM standards. Some references, like Lify UF500, are also certified biodegradable under OECD 301F.
Producing steel is energy- and carbon-intensive. Adfil® Fibres require less material, less energy, and reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 90 percent compared to mesh. They also cut transport, waste, and labour emissions.
Absolutely. Adfil® Fibres are designed for use in a wide range of concrete types, including ready-mix, precast, sprayed concrete, and decorative finishes.
No specific training is required. If needed, our technical team can assist with integration, provide dosing tools, and support your site teams directly.
