Chryso®Tard
Retarding agent
Chryso®Tard solutions work by slowing down the hydration reactions of the cement. This allows the workability time of the concrete to be extended without altering its initial consistency. Once the setting period is over, the concrete hardens rapidly, resulting in high mechanical strengths after 28 days of curing.
Chryso®Tard agents have no surfactant effect on concrete, which means that they do not modify its consistency or rheological behavior.

CHRYSO®Tard CHR
CHRYSO®Tard CHR is classified as a set retarding water reducing/plasticising admixture according to SANS 50934-2(EN 934-2). The admixture thus induces the following major effects on a concrete mix:
Produces the combined effects of a high range reducing/plasticising admixture (primary function) and
A set retarding admixture (secondary function).
CHRYSO®Tard CE
CHRYSO® Tard CE is classified as a set retarding admixture according to SANS 50934-2 (EN 934-2). The admixture thus induces the following major effects in a concrete mix:
Extends the time of commencement of transition of the mix, from the plastic to the rigid state.
